week 12 post 3: gamification and physical development and accessibility

I learned that sometimes gamification can aid in physical development. This can be done through exercising with interactive games, it is just as effective as normal exercise. This form of exercise is greatly beneficial in younger children that enjoy playing video games but are not currently physically active. Because of this I learned a new way gamification can be applied to another area, such as accessibility. I learned that gamification can be applied basically anywhere.

This source also focused a little on how gamification aids accessibility in the classroom. It can be used as a teaching tool to educate adolescents of all needs. There has been research done that studied the effectiveness of using gamification in the form of a video game to instruct students diagnosed with autism. And the results showed that it was effective in teaching age-appropriate content through gamification. A question I have is how can gamification be used more in accessibility for people from all backgrounds?
